Approximately 40 international researchers and authors have contributed to the proceedings of the 5th Alvar Aalto Researchers’ Network Seminar – Whose Modernism? The seminar’s three main themes – Intent, Authorship and Legacy – have been approached theoretically, pragmatically and from the perspective of different cultures. The multifaceted and richly illustrated articles shed light not only on current Aalto research but also more broadly on the design, use, renovation, protection and preservation of modernist architecture in different parts of the world.
