The various volumes take you on a journey into the work and life of Aino Aalto, who was known as an accomplished designer. Heikki Aalto-Alanen’s latest, lavishly illustrated work in English Aino + Alvar Aalto. A Life Together tells the story of Aino and Alvar Aalto, based on correspondence between the couple. 

The Finnish original, Rakastan sinussa ihmistä, was published in 2021. The Japanese edition provides further opportunities to explore Aino Aalto’s design work and personal history. 

Aino Aalto’s hand can be seen in several of the projects that she designed jointly with her architect husband. The beautifully illustrated volumes Paimio Sanatorium, The Aalto House, Restaurant Savoy, and Villa Mairea put the spotlight on the best of humane architecture.
